Hangtown

SABER CLUB

Hangtown Saber Club is your source for modern saber fencing in the greater Sacramento region.
Head Coach Ted Smith has developed scores of champions, from the local to the international level, including 2008 Olympic silver medalist James Williams. Our team program, for athletes focused on competition, includes high-level training camps that bring top fencers from throughout the West to Diamond Springs for an intensive clinic with Coach Smith.
Hangtown Saber also welcomes recreational athletes seeking the sport often referred to as “physical chess.” Beginners--from age 9 to 90--can initiate their fencing adventure via our four-class introduction to saber. Visitors welcome!
We look forward to hearing from you.
